Watch yourself You know when you’re pushing yourself to the max during your workout and you feel like you’ve been going for 20 minutes, but then you realise it’s only been five? That annoying brain freeze is legit and has been scientifically proven by researchers at Plymouth Marjon University in the UK. When 12 fit adults were asked to estimate how long they’d been exercising during intense cycling and rowing sessions, they were fairly accurate at guessing when they were a quarter of the way and halfway through the workout.
