Many developers and publishers have expressed their support for the Black Lives Matter movement this month, along with pledging donations to it, the NAACP, and other related causes. Events and announcements have also been moved back to draw attention to the protests that have been occurring in the US, as well as internationally. On May 25, George Floyd died after police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes. Floyd’s death, which was recorded, sparked protests that spread across the US and beyond, with millions marching to demand an end to unjust, racist systems.
