“AN AMBITIOUS YET CONFIDENT STEP FORWARD”
ROBIN VALENTINE Twitter @robinlvalentine This month Got back into Warhammer 40K with a Kroot Kill Team. They’re one of the friendlier factions, once you get past all the cannibalism. For my money, no developer has followed more successfully in Left 4 Dead’s footsteps than Fatshark. The Vermintide games evoked that same co-op vs horde magic, while at the same time carving out their own distinct identity and pulling off a pitchperfect version of the Warhammer Fantasy world. Darktide is an ambitious yet confident step forward for a studio that’s proven its chops—cleverly expanding, refining and, thanks to the Warhammer 40K setting, adding bloody big guns to the formula. I know what I’ll be doing on November 30: purging the unclean. TALK TO PC GAMER Have your say!
