Utah is known for its snow, but Gwyneth Paltrow found herself at the center of another kind of flurry beginning March 21. That day the actress and Goop founder appeared in a Park City courthouse for the first day of a trial involving a 2016 ski collision at the swank Deer Valley Resort. Paltrow, 50, is being sued for $300,000 by retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, who first filed a lawsuit against her in January 2019. Sanderson, 76, claims that Paltrow was skiing “out of control” and hit him, “causing a brain injury, four broken ribs and other serious injuries.” Paltrow says Sanderson “plowed into” her from behind and countersued for “symbolic damages in the amount of $1” and attorneys’ fees. “Any involvement in a trial is stressful,” a Paltrow source says.…

Creed III star Jonathan Majors is facing assault allegations. According to court documents obtained by People, the actor, 33, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of misdemeanor assault and harassment over a domestic dispute on March 25 in New York City. The alleged victim, a 30-year-old woman, claims Majors struck her “about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear,” and grabbed her hand and neck, “causing bruising.” In a March 27 statement, Majors’s attorney Priya Chaudhry said the Marvel actor is “completely innocent,” adding they expect “that all charges will be dropped imminently” based on evidence gathered, including “two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.” At press time the charges against Majors stood.…
