welcome summer!

“It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.” Psalm 74:17 This time of year is filled with blessings—blooming daisies, ripe fresh fruit and vegetables and long sunny days filled with golden sunshine. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale once spoke in a sermon, “This summer I found inspiration everywhere. I tell you it is a great thing to associate with mountains and babbling streams, with deep woods, rolling meadows and great oceans. Man is supposed to associate with nature; because God is nature.”I hope that you have a chance this season, to find inspiration by experiencing God through the beauty of His creation. May these Scriptures, reflections and prayers fill your heart with the peace and love of His…

live god’s way

But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. Galatians 5:22 (MSG) WHEN YOU LIVE God’s way, He plants and cultivates fruit into your life. Beautiful blessings—inspiration, endurance, empathy, serenity—will grace your days. And God’s love will flow through you to others easily and naturally. Heavenly Father, help me remove habits or thoughts that prevent me from living Your way. REFLECTIONS…

Heavenly Father, thank You for the many reminders You send to show me I am blessed. REFLECTIONS…

stand firm against temptation

Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies. Psalm 119:98 (NIV) MEMORIZING SCRIPTURE IS a helpful way to fight temptation. awaken your spiritual passion

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6 (NIV) DO YOU FEEL passionate about your faith? Strive for the kind of longing for the Lord of the psalmist who wrote, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” (Psalm 42:1-2 NKJV) Pray that your desire to be close to Him will continue to grow. Heavenly Father, ignite true passion for fulfilling my purpose. REFLECTIONS…
