Of course, this line of thinking doesn't work for the 718 Cayman and Boxster models, simply because there are no all-wheel-drive options currently available, but as a rule of thumb, the approach makes plenty of sense. CALLUM'S NEW RECIPE FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE AUTOMOTIVE INTERIOR According to a new study by design and engineering consultancy, CALLUM, coffee, eggs, walnuts, rice and lentils could be just as likely found in your future car's interior as they would your shopping basket. The company's designers and engineers went beyond materials already under consideration to identify fresh sustainable options its customers could benefit from through its new Sustainable Materials Study (SMS). Using a classic 911 restomod interior as the basis for the research, the team led by Charlotte Jones and Ian Callum identified coffee pulp, eggshells, red lentils, walnuts and rice as viable materials for a car interior in 2030. CSF INTERCOOLERS FOR 992 CARRERA/S/GTS/4/4S The most important features of these CSF intercoolers are their two-row F1-grade cores, featuring rolled tubes with inner fins. Manufactured in partnership with CSF's technical partner, PWR, they're same style as used in CSF's air-to-air systems previously developed for the 992 Turbo/S and 991 GT2 RS. The cores eliminate heat soak and lower Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) much more efficiently than traditional ‘bar & plate’ or ‘tube & fin’ designs and, as is the case with CSF's other intercoolers produced in collaboration with PWR, these new high-performance 992 parts feature 100% TIG-welded machined billet aluminium end tanks capable of withstanding increased boost pressures from bolt-on modifications and higher performance tunes, as well as upgraded turbochargers.
