Client success stories have been commonplace in our company for more than 25 years. For me, this is the most gratifying part of our business. For example, as a result of their ad in Florida Design, Foglia Custom Homes sold a $2 million home on Florida’s Hutchinson Island. And another advertiser, artist and sculptor Alexander Krivosheiw, has been awarded a most prestigious and monumental project with the International Olympic Committee. Recently, interior designer Louis Shuster acquired a design job from a Brazilian couple on an estimated $5 million estate after the homeowner’s wife saw one of the designer’s homes featured in Florida Design. Whether near or far, it’s easier for designers and architects to shape and style a residence when they can see a home on a daily basis, getting to know its owners and surroundings, and interpreting its needs with a native familiarity. South Florida interior designer Alene Workman packed her bags and headed north to Minnesota to create a contemporary plan for an 8,700-square-foot home on a 14,000-acre lake in a charming historic community. The designer teamed with Peterssen/Keller Architects and builder Steven Streeter to oversee the project from initial knockdown to the finished home. Working closely with the owners, the resulting style is clearly contemporary coupled with organic warmth.
