LIKE the S-MAX, the new Ford Galaxy uses the same platform as the latest Mondeo, and it’s built in the same factory as the S-MAX and Mondeo in Valencia, Spain. There are Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X trims, and power comes from 1.5 and 2.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engines, a 2.0 TDCi diesel with three outputs or a 2.0 twin-turbodiesel.
Like the S-MAX, an auto gearbox and four-wheel drive are available on selected models. We test the 2.0 TDCi 180 Titanium with the PowerShift auto, which costs £32,345.
