But yes, it’s true: I was once clueless about beads, beadwork, and bead stitching. Q I finished my beaded braid and found a mistake. Can I repair it after I’ve finished braiding? A There are three common mistakes that happen while making a two-drop kongoh beaded braid. The good news is that all of these are fairly easy to repair after the braid is finished. THREE COMMON MISTAKES 1 There is a gap in the braid where a bead is missing. Sometimes the bead is not really missing but is inside the braid. Refer to mistake #3 if that’s the case. 2 Two beads are dropped on one cord and both are crowded in the space for one bead. Q I live several hours away from the nearest bead store so must order my beads online. My problem is that between the color names used for beads and the distortion of color images on my monitor, it is difficult to be certain I am ordering the color I need.
