finally, anne!

We are still on a high from last month’s 18th anniversary issue and we are facing the last three months head on. This month marks our fashion and legacy issue and we start off with an exclusive feature on luxury brand Pucci. We were privileged to visit Laudomia Pucci (Pucci’s vice chairman and image director) at Palazzo Pucci in Florence (now the Emilio Pucci Heritage Hub), which is both her home and a centre for learning for fashion and design. It not only preserves the rich history of the brand, but also upholds its legacy of creativity and innovation for young artists and designers. After the tour, we had lunch at the nearby Hotel Savoy and she further shared her vision for the hub, by melding Pucci’s glorious past and…

There was an electric vibe in the studio, with music blasting and everyone in high spirits, as we waited for Curtis to arrive. Renowned photographer Mark Nicdao was tasked to shoot the feature. Having worked together often during the early stages of Curtis’ career, he was the perfect one for the job.…

WHICH ERA OF FASHION WOULD YOU BRING BACK? ’30s or ’70s. FASHION TO ME IS... An armour for distraction, prescription for boredom, and a camouflage for invisibility. Bennett Marcus The Hong Kong-based journalist looks into the perks of being a couture connoisseur in “Hey, Big Spender” (p. 224) WHAT’S ONE FASHION VIP EXPERIENCE THAT YOU WERE REALLY WOWED BY? I was touched by the smaller, highly personal gestures, like mooncakes, Mother’s Day gifts, and quirky decor items. I guess I was somewhat aware of the lavish trips and fashion shows, but I’m amazed…

meeting martha

When lifestyle icon and media personality Martha Stewart visited the Philippines a few months ago, one of the first things on her agenda was to find out what the country had to offer. Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno and Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat took her on a tour around Manila in a jeepney, visiting historic landmarks Intramuros, Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church, and the National Museum. The tour ended with a lunch prepared by restaurateurs Margarita Forés and Dedet de la Fuente at the National Museum of National History. To make the most of her trip, she went to Pampanga to sample their cuisine. She also took this Philippine trip as an opportunity to look for pearls in Binondo and Greenhills. FIVE GENERATIONS “Our super little bundle of happiness…
