Welcome to 2020! We focus on health and wellness in our first issue of the year. With the wealth of information out there, we are left with no reason whatsoever not to be in our best shape. We hear of the rising toll of heart and other body ailments, and even mental illnesses. But in this day and age, compared to our parents’ generation, we have infinitely better access to health solutions. We hope, then, that this issue prods you to take that step towards a healthier you. With coffee in hand and a big smile on her face, our cover subject Felicia Hung Atienza arrived at the studio in high spirits, ready to take on the day’s challenge: to do a full work-out session for our cover shoot. The morning rush didn’t seem to bother the Chinese International School Manila and Domuschola International School founder as she greeted photographer Patrick Diokno and the rest of the Philippine Tatler team. With her eagerness and determination to do well for the shoot, she brought along her training coach as well as sports accessories and exercise equipment that she uses at home—dumb bells, kettle bell, balance ball, and a barbell to name a few! The 18th Philippine Tatler Ball joins the advocates of nature preservation by choosing as its beneficiary WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature). For this Philippine branch of the international environment protection organisation, the Tatler Ball broke its all-time record to raise more than PhP 12 million through donations and an auction. Keeping the auction alive to the delight of the Ball attendees were Stephanie Zubiri, Mike Toledo, and Tim Yap. The key officers of the WWF supported the Ball with their presence.
