Walking through it
I first met my friend Janis at a book club a couple of years ago. Like all book clubs, this was a sedentary group with plenty of cheese, wine and gossip. And when Janis and I started to meet outside of that, it was naturally sitting down at a cafe. But when COVID came along, we started walking together. The conversation flowed and, before we knew it, several hours past along with thousands of steps. We’d leave feeling happy and brighter, not dulled by cake and caffeine.
