make your own leather vases

CUT IT OUT Print template at BHG.com/Leather. Trace onto leather and transfer marks for holes. Cut out. PUNCH HOLES Use a rotary leather punch to make holes the same size as the rivets. CONNECT SECTIONS Bring right hole of one flap over left hole of next; secure rivet with setting tool. Repeat with all holes; insert tumbler. GET THE LEATHER Look for leather that’s 2–4 oz. (0.8–1.6 mm thick). It’s sold by the yard ($15–$25) at crafts stores or at tandyleather.com.
