The inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design went to Richard Quinn, who received this nod of approval from the Queen – seated front row at his autumn/winter 2018 fashion show – for his abundance of scarf prints (rumour has it that Her Majesty put in a personal order for her Balmoral wardrobe). Quinn’s more-is-more, rather than traditional, aesthetic feels super fresh and sets the tone for a season filled with reworked paisley patterns and eclectic equestrian prints.
