10 things we love

1 GOTHIC GARDEN Dark romance was a thrilling A/W 19 trend, with beguiling blooms tumbling over day dresses and evening gowns alike. 2 As free as a bird Taking inspiration from the extravagance of couture, autumn/winter 2019 offered up creations that literally fluttered down the catwalk. Take flight in Valentino’s gossamer-fine chiffon gown, allowing the sleeves to waft like the wings of a beautiful bird as you walk. 3 SEVENTIES SOPHISTICATION Did someone call for Parisian bourgeois chic? Leave it to Hedi Slimane to deliver on the season’s most compelling trend. 4 Karl’s last looks Snow glistened on chalet roofs, smoke swirled from chimneys and a cowbell sounded somewhere in the distance. Karl Lagerfeld wasn’t there to see it, but his spirit lived on in a final collection for Chanel of serene, transportive beauty. 5 TARTAN ARMY It’s part…
