Owners of a donkey in Germany have been ordered to cover the cost of damages that the animal made to an orange-coloured McLaren sports car. A state court in Giessen revealed that Vitus the donkey had caused around $8,700 in damage when it decided to chomp on the backside of the vehicle. Police allege that the animal may have mistaken the brightly-coloured car for a giant carrot. The sports car owner, Markus Zahn, said, “It was a beautiful day. I just wanted to go to the doctor... I drive backwards to the parking lot and while driving backwards the donkey bites.” Zahn filed a lawsuit following the incident when the donkey owners refused to reimburse him for the damage stating he should have found somewhere better to park. A small, but, growing number of Australian parents have taken inspiration from the classic children’s game, Hide and Seek, to play in a competitive adult event. Known by its Italian name, nascondino, the grown-up version of the popular game has compelled a group of Aussies to represent the country’s first team to compete in the world championships in Italy. Co-Captains of the Nascondingos, Alan Jones and Stuart Dawson, are recent professional Hide and Seek converts with John’s explaining, “At first you’ve got a minute to go and hide, and then the seeker comes out looking for people.” The goal is to get back to a safe zone without being spotted by the seeker.
