An Irish artist has demonstrated a way to transform avocado seeds into creative carvings called Avocado Stone Faces. When Jan Campbell decided that the avocado stone had “a lot of potential” she began to cleverly carve detailed faces into the fruits internal seed. Now, Campbell dedicates an Instagram account to pictures of her talented carvings. With a series of remarkable mythical-like carvings already, Campbell has created a website where customers can purchase her pieces in the regular avocado stone form or as bronze-coated pieces that weigh a bit more. A couple who are crazy about golf have set a goal to visit every miniature golf course in the United Kingdom. So far, Richard and Emily Gottfreid have played at 743 different courses and hope to reach the 800 mark within the next year. The Gottfreid’s represented Great Britain and took fourth place at the 2012 World Adventure Golf Masters and claim the obsession began during a holiday to Southsea in Hampshire in 2006. Mr Gottfreid explained, “When we got home we had a look online and saw there was a list of 600 courses and thought let’s travel to a fair few different seasides and then we got going we found there were courses at every seaside we got to”.
