my quest for a new camera system

I’m old enough that I spent the early part of my career shooting on film and, in particular, Hasselblad Medium Format cameras. The cameras produced negatives that were 2 ½ inches square, which meant that, combined with the Carl Zeiss lenses they used, image quality was exceptional. So, when I first switched over to a DSLR, I found the image quality somewhat disappointing. It was years before digital technology (in my mind) caught up with film. But catch up it did, and I’ve been very happily shooting with a Canon EOS 5D Mk III for some years now. It’s a fantastic camera and Canon make some truly spectacular lenses to go along with it.
