“HONOUR EVERYONE – LOVE THE BROTHERHOOD – FEAR GOD.”-1 PETER 2:17 Exciting news! We have some wonderful Kingdom-minded men and women who have partnered with JOY! and who will be sharing their spiritual gifts, knowledge, and anointing with all of us over the next twelve months. We look forward to being blessed by their wisdom, insight, and effervescent love for God over this next year. These men and women were prayerfully and purposely identified and approached because of their incredible contribution to the Body of Christ, many working tirelessly for the Cause and never seeking recognition, fame, or fortune. They are committed men and women who recognise the value of Christian Media. Many Christians do not realise the vital role that JOY, JUIG, and our digital platform JOY Digital are called…
“Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” – Philippians 2:14-15 Focusing our attention on God and His promises rather than our present circumstances fuels the flame of our faith and causes our path to be enlightened with God’s perspective. It brings hope in hopeless situations, and gives the believer courage to stand strong where others fear and scatter. There is much taking place in our country at the moment, from the unrest of students in our universities, the crisis in our economy, the scandals of corruption and mismanagement of public funds, and so forth. The negative reports, one after the…
My slogan for South Africa has become “The future of a nation is on the lips of a praying church.” The Lord gave me this slogan when I wrote a book on prophetic prayer and I realised that we must pray laser focussed prayers, based on the Word of faith, and guided by the Holy Spirit. The beginning of this year I uttered a prophetic word and heard myself saying that South Africa was in for a ‘big surprise’. About two months prior to the local elections, I again caught myself saying that there was going to be “change, change, change.” Well, as a nation we have truly gone through a time of great and unexpected change, but we must never forget that all change begins in the spiritual dimension…
Encouraging cover story Hello JOY!, it was very nice to see a black woman on your cover! We love Jesus too but women in our culture are often pushed out of the limelight. I was very encouraged to see my sister on your cover. Yay for JOY! Magazine. Pumza Inspirational Christian women Please feature more successful Christian women in JOY! I loved reading all about Patience Mlengana – she is really a role model and true leader of women. We want to invite her to talk at our church next year. Love how she balances her Christian walk with her business/career. Inspiring reading! Dudu Church can be so intimidating I am Christian, single, and hate going to church. I find it a cold, mean, and unfriendly environment for singles. I…
A hundred thousand people are expected on 19 November in the FNB stadium in Soweto for the biggest spiritual reconciliation gathering ever in Gauteng. Admission is free, but seats have to be booked with Computicket beforehand. The event is but one step in an effort to rid the entire South African nation of a destructive spirit of violence, corruption, hatred, an unforgiving attitude, anger and negativity, says evangelist Angus Buchan. “We cannot do it on our own, because we cannot trust human princes. It is only possible if we have true remorse and ask the Prince of all princes for forgiveness and guidance.”…
Dear friends, I greet you in Jesus’ precious Name. It is with great joy and excitement that I can report back to you about a most incredible journey that we took to the British Isles. Amid all the negative talk that took place around my proposed visit, I can tell you that God took it and turned it for the good. I thank God for the organisers in Great Britain, who did a sterling job. I also want to thank everyone that prayed for me and my family, and for the team, over this time. I have had messages of encouragement from all over the world. The devil was hell-bent on smearing our name and God took it, and turned it around for good. The accusations of being a hate…
