PRISCILLA ON PARADE
Elvis wasn’t the only Presley on the cover of Parade magazine. In the July 7, 1974, issue, Parade asked, “What did Priscilla Beaulieu Presley do with her divorce settlement from Elvis?” The answer: She started a West Hollywood boutique called Bis & Beau with designer Olivia Bis. “Pris,” Parade said, “is her own best model.” In our cover photo, the magazine noted, the rhinestone-studded blue jeans she is wearing were available at Bis & Beau for $295 (quite a chunk of change in 1974). The store closed in 1976.
