Thirty-seven years ago Prince William made his People cover debut in honor of his christening. In the photo, taken by his great-uncle Lord Snowdon, he’s cradled by his mother, Princess Diana. In 2002 Brian Banks’s future looked bright. Growing up in West Palm Beach, Fla., Zack Gottsagen always had high hopes of becoming an actor. By any measure, Haben Girma is impressive. Born Deafblind, a condition that encompasses a spectrum of severe hearing and sight loss, she loves adventure travel (“Have you heard of a blind person climbing icebergs?” she says, laughing) and graduated from Harvard Law School—the first Deafblind person to do so—in 2013.
