When you cast your ballot, dear voters, beware! Beware of the lingering strains of sonorous, siren voices – like that of Gauteng’s loquacious premier, Panyaza Lesufi, promising gullible voters the world, yet lacking the financial and practical resources to meet the promises.
Beware also the echoes of strident, militant voices eloquently spouting outdated, negative and populist ideologies to win votes. Others take swipes at reasonableness without offering positive ideas to substitute for that which they readily denigrate or wish to destroy.
Beware also the warbling former jailbirds, wanting voters to flock to their warped thinking.
Search on the ballot paper rather for those who give hope, reasoned promise of economic growth and a better future.
