CIRCLE STYLE Add geometric drama with a yarn-wrapped fixture, this photo. Glue the top of a 12-inch-diameter wood wreath ring to the inside edge of a 16-inch-diameter ring; clamp until dry. Cut a second set of 12- and 16-inch rings in half. Arrange the halves of the large ring so they’re perpendicular to the same-size uncut one; glue and pin-nail in place to hold as the glue dries. Repeat with the small wreath rings. Cut a ½-inch square dowel into four 1-inch lengths. To reinforce the build, adhere one dowel length at each corner at the top where the rings converge. Use a pencil to draw diamond shapes on the vase, or use a diamond pattern stencil and a ruler to mark placement more precisely. With a flow tip on the woodburning tool, sweep the tip back and forth about ¼ inch in a tight zigzag over the pencil lines until each diamond shape is drawn.
