BEEF PRICES FLAT
International: New Zealand steers and cows traded flat at NZ$5,38/kg and NZ$3,95/kg respectively. US prices were mostly higher: topside was 2,78% higher at US$189,16/cwt, rump was 2,21% lower at US$221,23/cwt, strip loin was 5,06% higher at US$396.28/cwt, chuck traded 1,17% lower at US$193,82/cwt, and brisket traded 0,25% higher at US$194,23/cwt. The carcass price was 1,37% higher at US$232,19/cwt. Prices increased week-on-week due to continuing low production levels in Australia and New Zealand.
Domestic: Local prices were steady despite increased slaughterings. Class A was 1,83% higher at R38,47/kg and Class C was 0,65% higher at R32,68/kg. The weaner price was 0,81% higher at R20,66/kg. The hide price was the same at R15,17/kg.
