As predicted by race director and on-site vet, Dr Wim Peters, the new One-Day Loft Victoria Falls World Challenge Pigeon Race (VFWCPR) is tough, but the best birds have begun to show themselves.
Pigeons have been entered from many countries, including the UK, the US, Canada, China, Australia, Ireland, Romania, Angola, Belgium, Germany, Kuwait, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and South Africa.
Training is currently underway and two of the five longer Hot Spot pre-final training flights have been completed (see tables below).
The overall results for Hot Spot 2 (from Gwayi River; 161km) were disappointing.
