Agricultural advisory and food safety inspection services company, Impumelelo Agribusiness Solutions, is ready to begin inspections of regulated processed food products.
The minister of agriculture, Senzeni Zokwana, tasked Impumelelo with these inspections in terms of the Agricultural Products Standards Act No. 119 of 1990. The products include fruit juice, frozen fruit and vegetables, jam, rooibos tea, honey, table olives, and canned processed products. These inspections would apply to both locally manufactured and imported goods.
