IN among its autumn programme and Christmas trains, Steam Dreams is running the company’s annual tribute to the fallen with an ‘Armistice Day Special’ on the 11th day of the 11th month – November 11.
This year the train’s destinations in East Anglia is a reminder of the vital, successful part that Fighter Command’s 11 and 12 Group squadrons played in protecting this country against the odds in the summer of 1940.
Starting out of London Victoria, the special calls at Broxbourne and Harlow Town, passengers alighting at Whittlesford for Duxford, Cambridge, Ely and Norwich.
