A few months ago, in the May issue I read the “Sante Fe Territory Group, 1870” in the column labeled “A Closer Look.” I didn’t think much of the labeling of some of the subjects in the photo as “Eastern European Jews.” It just didn’t bother me much. I came to be the caretaker of this stunning ribbon bar once belonging to Brigadier General Francis Joseph Roberts when I purchased it online from a fellow collector. At the time of purchase, there was minimal information to establish Robert’s military career, but since then, I have uncovered a lot about Brig. General Roberts’ WWII and post-war career. The bar consists of ribbons for the following awards: *Distinguished Service Medal *Silver Star *Legion of Merit with 1 Oak Leaf (he received a second Oak Leaf, as well) *Distinguished Flying Cross *Bronze Star Medal with “V” and 2 Oak Leaf clusters *Air Medal with 10 awards device (he also received the V device) *Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf *American Defense Medal *American Campaign Medal *European African Middle East Campaign Medal…

MILITARY SHOWS: WE ARE "BACK IN THE SADDLE!" “How was the show?” After any show, this is the question I receive countless times.
