It’s more than 60 years since The Beach Boys released their first single, “Surfin’,” in 1961, which was the beginning of a music genre that evoked the sounds of California sun and surf, hot cars, and girls, with titles like “I Get Around,” “Surfer Girl,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Don’t Worry Baby,” and “Good Vibrations.”
Now, the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award-winning California band will be honored with its remaining members: Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks, and Bruce Johnston.
