Veteran musician Freddie Gwala, known for chart-topping hits such as Amadamara, Khipidayimane, Tshidi S’khelekhele and Ufile is the latest public figure to raise an awareness of gender-based violence (GBV) and substance abuse in the country.
Gwala will add his voice to the fight against GBV when he performs at the annual #Enough With Our Sisters music event on Women’s Day at the Mzansi Resort (formerly Morula Sun) in Mabopane.
He will be joined by actress Sophie Ndaba, barcardi sensation and Moja Love Rekereke show talent Phindi Maphendula.
Supporting the star-studded casts to entertain the masses at the event are award-winning gospel singer, Paul K, Schoolboy, Mawisa, DJ Pro, Machuchu, Tino Mash, Nutty Nice, Machance, Noise, Topito, Thabang Stylist and Sir Joshua.
