This job allows me to travel quite a bit, and getting outside the office for the occasional event or photo shoot breaks up the day-to-day monotony. I wouldn’t say it’s always glamorous travel, necessarily — I’m not Anthony Bourdain traversing the globe eating exotic meals or anything — but the perks of taking trips in the name of wakeboarding has its benefits. Not everyone gets that moment in life when everything comes full circle. The storybook tale of a career that has come back to where it all started is one for the ages, and for Shota Tezuka, unequivocally the best wakeboarder to ever come out of Japan, that dream has come true. Going home to shoot in front of Mount Fuji for the cover of Wakeboarding has been in the back of his mind since he became pro. COLLIN HARRINGTON My first type of wake trip was from my hometown in the Florida Keys to Orlando when I was 15 or 16, with my riding buddy Chris Scott, to check out a wakeboard contest. This was back in the days when I was watching High Wake Drifters over and over. THE SUPRA BOATS PRO WAKEBOARD TOUR KICKS OFF IN TEXAS The anticipation for the first stop of the Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour has been one for the ages. With a brand-new title sponsor and rumors flying about how the PWT will change for 2015, there was quite a buzz going into the opener in Texas. The most money was on the line for a single event in PWT history, with $30,000, a ton of VIP and consumer experiences, a Jumbotron with live scoring, and the first-ever Pro Wakesurf Tour event.
