Happy Hearts I loved the pattern Happy Hearts from Quiltmaker January/ February ’20! The colors in the fabric of this fun quilt were so bright and striking! I chose to make my quilt scrappy and the Stitch-and-Flip technique was fun to do! I used a purple binding and a pink backing fabric. I was able to get it done just in time for Valentine’s Day! Denice Korcal • Chicago, Illinois Christmas in Evergreen I used the pattern…

Read on as we talk to Karen about how her quilt Windmill Attitudes came to be. Passing on Creativity I am retired from a career as an occupational therapist working in schools. I grew up in Rhode Island and enjoyed a close relationship with my Swedish grandmother, great-aunt, and great-grandmother who lived together in a multifamily house. My grandmother would embroider stamped designs on pillowcases, table runners, and tablecloths. My great-aunt would crochet the edges of the table runners, and she also liked to make small dolls. My great-grandmother…
