TIME TO RELAX Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year. Sometimes the preparation can be a bit of a juggle with the end-of-year rush, but I love the magic of the season. There’s an energy in the air unlike any other time. At home, I stick to the same decorating scheme – quite classic with red, soft gold and mercury glass – but each December I buy an extra bauble or two to add to my collection and mark the year. Nodding to my European heritage (we go all-out at Christmas time), I decorate the whole house, from the wreath on the front door to the guest towels in the bathroom. What is your new book, ‘Stonefields by the Seasons’ about? Paul: “It’s all about living through four seasons in one garden. We have very distinct seasons at Stonefields and each is different and unique, the garden is mature now and I felt it was a good time to document it.” What do you hope to achieve through the release of this new book? “To show people how a garden can change through the seasons.
