Future Audio Workshop SubLab Get your 808 on with this sub-focused new softsynth solution Future Audio Workshop – best known for their Circle2 synth (8/10, 220) – have released SubLab, a plugin synth for Mac and PC dedicated solely to the production of “powerful 808 style sub-bass that sounds punchy on every speaker, every time”. A SubLab patch comes together as a freely adjustable mix of a simple one-oscillator analogue-style synth, a kick drum or other transient sample, and the X-Sub “psychoacoustic sub-bass oscillator”. The synth features sine, triangle, saw and square waves, and volume, pitch and filter envelopes; while the sample can be sourced from a 250-strong factory library of 808, TR-8 and other kicks, or imported from your own collection via drag-and-drop, then tweaked in terms of playback and loop start/…
