The worth of an old car is a “ballpark” estimate at best. Our prices come from compilations of national/regional data by the editors of our weekly publication, Old Cars Weekly News & Marketplace. These data include prices from collector-car auctions, verified reports of private sales and input from experts. We list values for vehicles in six different states of condition as explained on this page. Values are for complete vehicles, not parts cars, except as noted. Modified-vehicle values are not included, but can be estimated by figuring the cost of restoring to original and deducting from the figures shown within this publication. GRAN TURISMO HAWK — The GT Hawk's Euro styling came from designer Brooks Stevens, with 1964 models getting a significant update. The hood and grille gave it a resemblance of a Mercedes-Benz. The roofline was reminiscent of the Ford Thunderbird, with full-length body trim similar to the Lincoln Continental. The rear window was nearly flat and recessed. The GT had bucket seats and a console in the front with upholstery in either cloth and vinyl or all-pleated vinyl. The new "Sport Roof" was available in white or black at a cost of $65. New wheelcovers were also added. There were painted dots on the new headliner vinyl, a larger instrument panel and updated dash pad. An AM-FM radio was a factory option. ENGINES: Overhead valve.
