“Typically, when you’re making a documentary, you put everything to them, then you go to your hotel room and they go back to their homes,” explains the filmmaker. “In this situation, I ask the questions, but I also have to sit down and have dinner with them, and ask how to use their shower. So, sometimes it feels very awkward. But that’s my job.’’
