JOBURG City officials implicated in financial misconduct will henceforth be referred to the Financial Misconduct Board (FMB) for investigation, as the municipality strengthens compliance with legal statutes governing the protection of public money.
The City Council has approved the establishment of a municipal Financial Misconduct Board that will expedite the investigation of allegations of financial misconduct, make recommendations on sanctions, and encourage the monitoring of disciplinary proceedings against alleged transgressors.
