AT SOME POINT, THE MAY ISSUE BECAME THE HOME OF ALL OUR MOST LOVED FAMILY RECIPES. And now that it takes us into June and the start of winter, not forgetting Mother's and Father's Day along the way, it has officially become “the family issue”. And so, this letter was always going to be a hard one to write. It's a month of happy anniversaries for me – the Cherub's birth, my own first Mother's Day – but now it also marks one year since my father passed away, on my daughter's birthday.
