Bronagh Miskelly Designer, writer and technical editor Bronagh has had her patterns published in a range of magazines, and is closely involved with the UK Hand Knitting Association. Her latest design for us is a semi-circular shawl in a vine lace pattern, worked in a self-striping yarn, which you can find on page 37. Jo Allport As well as designing for yarn brands such as Noro, Lotus, West Yorkshire Spinners and Araucania, and many of the UK’s knitting magazines, Jo sells her own patterns. ARAN-INSPIRED SWEATERS never go out of style, and this new design from Sarah Hatton is soft, comfortable and beautifully patterned. It features two different cable stitch patterns, with bobbles for added texture. Sarah’s drop-shoulder design has a high ribbed neck to keep out the winter breezes.
