WELCOME
Here we are in November, which usually brings plenty of cold, wet and gloomy days. On such occasions, it usually means it’s time to light a fire to make our homes feel warm and welcoming. We had our logs delivered and chimneys swept in September, ready for the winter. I love having fires – I know that they’re messy but, perversely, I don’t mind clearing out the grate and setting a new one. When I was a child, I used to offer to do it for my mum who probably thought I was mad, but was always grateful.
