Gardeners unite!
Like so many Organic Gardener readers I worry – and at times despair – about the damage we are doing to our planet. I trained in botany and zoology and have a strong connection to the natural world, in particular our unique and diverse flora and fauna, which is disappearing due to climate change. Like so many of you, I have lobbied politicians, installed solar, demonstrated, and worked hard with my family to reduce our consumption in every possible way. But with the recent ‘code red for humanity’ from the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) clearly stating humans are causing rapid and potentially catastrophic changes to the climate, it just doesn’t feel like I’m doing enough.
