EDITOR’S LETTER
Often at the top of a new year, from my perch here at Vogue House (as well as in my own life, of course), I take some time to think of the word or phrase that might come to guide the months ahead – a mood setter, a galvanising focus and a way to better engage with the moment in time. I find it helpful. Here at Vogue, this January that word is strength. Naturally, strength has an appeal as perennial as it is ephemeral, yet its allure feels sky-high of late. Uncertainty is everywhere – economic, social, cultural. Political unease and personal trepidation linger in the mind.
