editor’s note

When you start something new, do you get that daunting or overwhelming feeling? I have started experiencing it post the closing of each edition these last few months. I’m not exactly scared, thanks to my supportive colleagues, but there is this constant pressure to do better and better with each subsequent edition hitting the stands. Maybe this is because we relish the proximity and bond we share with our readers digitally (due to social media) on a daily basis, that their comments and appreciation make us desirous of living upto their loving expectations. And believe me, this was my dream once! It is such a wonderful gift to be able to create content that is a mix of stunning imagery, ideas and fabulous features with help from talented interior designers…

letter of the month

A Wonderful Delight “I am really delighted to look back at 2020 and rejoice about how positively TIHG has pulled off the year 2020 with much grace and vigour. The stories were all so relatable and specially their digital approach is amazingly engaging. My family loved the Ideal Living from the January’s issue as the visual aesthetics of the project were just marvelous. We are looking forward to more new stories in the coming months. Thank you TIHG!” Sumati Gupta, Jaipur In Love With Decor “I do not really have any inclination towards decor aesthetics but TIHG has really changed my views regarding it. The ideas from the team is really practical. The one thing I love the most is that the contents are environment conscious which really creates a sense of responsibility towards…

bright & beautiful!

While designing the space in vibrant hues, it is important to notice the synchronization of other existing styles. Bold and dynamic pops of colors can force you to think out of the box. For example with a dark backdrop, these colors can stimulate both harmony and a perfect drama! It’s not necessary to have different colours on board for that perfect bright tinge. Absolute balance can be obtained with a contrasting effectfuschia with greys, lime with dark blue or orange with ivory. Swap your boring tones with such hues and vividly achieve that ‘wow’ space! From that shocking pink shade to that sizzling red print, one can fall head over heels in love with these peppy colors. To be honest, the aesthetics can set a contrasting story which totally uplifts…

“PANTONE COLORS FOR 2021 DEEPLY DEFINE THE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT EXISTS AND IS NATURAL; WHICH IS, THE ROCK SOLID ‘ULTIMATE GRAY’, IN UNION WITH ‘HOPE’ FOR A BRIGHTER TOMORROW, ‘ILLUMINATING’. THE COMBINATION OF THESE TWO TOGETHER IN ANY SPACE IS SO ECLECTIC AND BRIGHTENS IT IMMEDIATELY. FOR CONTEMPORARY DECOR, AN ACCENTUATING COLOR CAN OFTEN ADD A PUNCH OF POP SUCH AS YELLOW, WHICH IS BALANCED WELL WITH EARTHY NEUTRAL TONES LIKE GRAY. THE MINIMAL STYLE OF DESIGN ADOPTS AND EMBRACES THESE TONES VERY WELL. A COMBINATION OF SUCH EMPOWERING COLORS ENRICHES AND ADDS GLAMOUR TO THE AMBIENCE.” SHARES NEHA JAIN, CO-FOUNDER, UDC HOMES “THE YELLOW FEELS LIKE A FRESH WAVE OF ENERGY, ENTHUSIASM AND EXCITEMENT, COMPENSATING FOR THE MELLOW 2020. LOOKING AT THESE COLOURS CAN BE JUST LIKE YING YANG, STRIKING…
