www.volkswagencamper.co.uk Time to wish you and yours a Happy Bus-full New Year! 2020 marks seventy years since production of the Type 2 Transporter began at Wolfsburg, amazingly some of those early buses are still being driven! Listening to the news and all the climate change stuff and zero carbon plans and emission zones etc etc (scary isn’t it?), I realise how privileged we have been in being able to enjoy and drive and see old buses in the past …but things are changing fast and who knows what will be allowed on the roads in ten years’ time? And if the planet makes it as far as 2050, will any hundred year old bullis be found outside of museums? I doubt very much that any of the “new” generations will still…

turbo – splitty

Rewind 25 years. The former 1958 Mango Green Kombi had been stripped ready to restore, but basically then just sat as a shell in a garage for ten years. By chance Scott got to hear of it in 2004, and says, “Fate stepped in. I knew it was going to be a labour of love but my dream wasn’t realised until a lot later into the project when I decided I wanted it to be something special. Vanworxx MaxTraxx At the NEC show Vanworxx proudly unveiled its latest creation, designed for those who like exploring and being off grid but with all mods cons. Based on a Crafter 4x4, it offers plenty of internal living space and also a garage for expensive bikes and storage to allow 10’ surfboards to be carried inside. Available in 2 or 4 berth layouts with bathroom and full kitchen facilities, it has been designed specifically with the outdoor adventure types in mind. We love the use of Westy plaid on the demo model!…

don’t run out of gas!

Dometic GC 100 Gas Level Checker Pen Trouble with gas bottles is you are never sure how much is left, or even remember when you last changed it! It’s happened to me at Camper Jam before! And let’s face it, the shake and listen method does not tell you how close to empty it is. This new little handy product from Dometic however may just be the answer! It works using ultrasound; place the pen at various points on the surface of the bottle, if there is gas in the bottle where the measurement is taken the signal lamp lights up green. Where there is no gas it turns red. Simple! £13.99 https://www.thecampercoshop.com/…

space savers

The Outwell Collaps range collapses flat when not in use so easy to store and pack, especially in that full kitchen utensils cupboard. The range includes kettles, bowls, mugs, water carriers, colanders, washing up bowls, buckets and even coffee filters, all of which come in a range of colours for those into colour co-ordination. You can find many of the Outwell collapsible products at camping retailers but Outwell’s own mail order site carries the full range of colours, sizes and options. One of our best ever buys was an Outwell Collapsible kettle, still going strong after 10 years! Got any goodies you want to show us? All submissions are gratefully received. Be it news, an event, new products… we’ll do our very best to let everybody else know about it too Email editor@volkswagencamper.co.uk,…
