100 reasons to smile
At a time when good news stories seem in short supply, British war veteran Captain Tom Moore is punching above his weight. He first won hearts around the world when he walked the 25-metre length of his garden 100 times to raise money for Britain’s National Health Service. Moore completed his walker-assisted mission on April 16 intending to raise £1000 ($1900). Instead, he amassed $60 million – and counting – and now holds the Guinness World Record for ‘most money raised by charity walk (individual)’.
