Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death this week hit hard. Like millions around the world, I found him awe-inspiring in all he did – on-screen and off. Knowing now that he filmed a series of movies, including the award-winning Marvel flick Black Panther, while secretly battling colon cancer – he was diagnosed in 2016 – is testament to his strength. But his actions off-screen are what makes him a true hero (page 8). A few months before Boseman passed, he married the love of his life, long-time girlfriend Taylor Simone Ledward – something that no doubt brought him immeasurable joy.
