There is no doubt that 2021 has been quite the roller-coaster ride. But when I read back over our 24-page Best and Worst of 2021 round-up, starting on page 10, I was reminded of some truly incredible events. Cleo Smith’s rescue would have to go down as one of the most amazing stories of the year, and while the Tokyo Olympics felt like it took place ages ago, it was also great to be reminded of our swimmers, especially Ariarne Titmus and Emma McKeon’s, incredible haul of gold from the pool. After almost three decades in the spotlight, Jennifer Aniston has managed to compartmentalise how she handles her overly scrutinised personal life. “Self-awareness is key.
