It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since the lives of 202 people, including 88 Australians, were taken in a hideous act of terrorism in Bali. From that terrible night on October 12, 2002 came heartbreaking tales of loss, unimaginable terror, and inspiring acts of bravery and survival. It changed us as a nation, as we grappled with the fact that we were not isolated from terrorism and were, in fact, targets. Through the stories of just a handful of people who were caught up in the horror, we hope to pay tribute and remember all those who suffered in so many different ways as a result of those unconscionable acts.
