There is such austere beauty and peace in the winter landscape, isn’t there? The bare tree limbs are silhouetted against a pearly sky, and the garden sleeps under a blanket of frost. As much as I appreciate warm and cozy décor this time of year, sometimes it is nice to let the natural quietude of the season tiptoe in. Our Seasonal Settings tabletop on page 45 celebrates the subtle allure of these cold months, with a palette of silver, lavender, and gray enhanced by layers of rich purple flowers. Exquisite! Though outdoor blooms are few and far between right now, camellias—a Southern favorite—put on quite a winter show.
