A trip to the supermarket to pick up a few things, which turns into a groaning trolley full of food and supplies because, after all, the shops will be closed for ONE DAY! 2. Native to the Andes, they were first grown in Australia 20 years ago. They’re also extremely popular in New Zealand. They have a tart, tangy flavour and can be turned into drinks, ice-cream, salsas and chutneys. Their skin is quite bitter so peel before eating. TO STORE: Tamarillos keep for up to 2 weeks in the fridge or for 1 week at room temperature. PERFECT PARTNERS: Vanilla, almonds, lime, chilli, chicken, sugar, fish, cinnamon.
